Housed in five historical buildings, with views over Singel Canal, NH City Centre Hotel combines an attractive setting with contemporary comfort and convenience. Anne Frank's House and the flower market are close by, while the rest of the city is easily accessed by foot or tram. There's also a bus stop right in front of the hotel for the airport shuttle bus. Accommodation is provided by 209 rooms and suites, stylishly decorated with modern furniture and fittings. Gerzonis Restaurant serves a hearty breakfast along with Italian lunch and dinner menus. Guest facilities also include a well-equipped business center.

The size of rooms, lack of concierge etc
We stayed twice at this hotel within a span of two weeks. Except for the size of the room (which is really quite small) everything else was quite nice here - teh staff was courteus and helpful, teh location is very good - walking distance from the Nord station and from shopping locations, teh room had a tea/coffee maker. Overall we were quite happy with the place

Very well located, clean, easy to reach from central station and good breakfast.
The hotel is located walking distance from city centre (Dam, red light, town-hall...) and, if you come by train to Amsterdam Central, it can be easily reached by tram.
The rooms are clean and the breakfast is quite ok as well.
The only thing I did not like is that the room was very small (but quiet) and there was a column in the middle of that specific room (which made it even smaller).
However, more than enough just to spend the night and to be in the city centre.

- Great location - friendly service - price was OK, too (was there for the ADE conference time)
- Breakfast buffet was a bit sparse for 19Euro (Continental breakfast)
The room (# 104) was small but clean and comfortable. It was all there as described.
