Nova Hotel Amsterdam Info
A three-star hotel located on a beautiful green square in the centre of Amsterdam, directly behind the Royal Palace on Dam Square. The Nova Hotel and Apartments is superbly located, affording easy access to many of the city's attractions, and the network of public transport that connects the rest of the city is easily negotiated, whether tram, bus or boat. Amsterdam itself is a joy to explore, with it's unique architecture, thriving cafe culture, and the museums and galleries that seem to be on every corner. The immediate neighborhood is an eclectic mix of bars and restaurants, with numerous shopping streets, including Kalverstraat, and the Magna Plaza. Famous throughout Europe for its decadent red-light district, a trip to Amsterdam would not be complete without a visit to this area, with its many bars, nightclubs, and cabaret shows.

I was given a triple room, eventhough I paid for a double room. The room was very clean and spacious, which was a pleasent surprise.
Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful.They offered tour suggestions and were happy to answer any queries we had about Amsterdam.
Excellent breakfast, with a wide variety of options - something you don't see often in European hotels.
The hotel had alot of twisty winding steps, that made it difficult to carry heavy luggage. Otherwise it was excellent.
This hotel even though was stated to be 3 stars, felt like a 4 star hotel. The recption staff upgraded my twin room to a triple room at no extra charge, just because we got lost trying to find our way to the hotel.
The staff were also very helpful, when I needed to ask for directions or tourist information tips.
The cleaning staff were very attentive, and placed towels outside our door when we indicated a "do not disturb" sign. We did not even have to ask for towels like in most hotel.
Definately an excellent travel experience. I would more then highly recommend it!
Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel lobby provides looks of excellent coupons that you can use for tourist attraction in Amsterdam. Pick a few to use to save money on yr trip.

very central hotel, quiet
shower cubicle needs revamp
I found the hotel nova to be well placed centrally in Amsterdam but still not in the least noisy. Easy to walk to all tourist areas. The hotel was clean though the shower cubicle could do with being upgraded. The breakfast up to standard for price paid. Staff very helpful.
