Great location

Great Location, Comfy Night Sleep
7.7
The location is perfect and central to anywhere you want to go in Amsterdam. It can be noisy at night as Leidseplein and its surrounding areas is open till late. The staff is very helpful with directions. It's the perfect hotel if all you want is a nice bed, clean sheets, comfortable rooms without all the frills of a big hotel. It was perfect for me.

Great location but small room

Location, location
7.7
The hotel is a beautiful renovated old building, which I really like. However, like old buildings, the room was small and very warm. As the hotel is a 3-star, the amenities of the room are not great: towels (thin) and shower gel/shampoo, but nothing else, not even a hair dryer, which is important for me. The location, however, is a 2-minute walk from Leidseplein, a very lively area with shops and lots of outdoor cafes! And there is a tram stop minutes from the hotel. The buffet breakfast at Euros 10 is an acceptably good spread for the price.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: The hotel is minutes from the lively cafe and shopping area of Leidseplein. And if you like walking, you can practically walk to every sightseeing location OR you can take a tram!

Good Location but small room

The hotel is next to the canal and easily accessible to the tram station

The hotel is chic in style and located in a convenient location. The luggage room is locked so it is quite safe to put your luggage there. However, the room is just fit for two as a double economy - not much room to walk and there is only one chair. No hairdryer, tv remote (need to borrow at front desk, i wonder why they don't put a hairdryer in the room as it's inexpensive after all) and no water bottle to make tea/coffee. The bathroom curtain is not very effective in blocking the water, so after a shower, all the water splashed onto the floor.

It was early in the morning when we arrived at the airport. We reached the hotel at around 9am. The receptionist spoke English but he was not that accomodating (well compared to the one who entertained us when we checked out). The room was too small (pictures deceive) and we could hardly breathe. The lift was not also functioning hence we had to ascend to 3rd floor ( which is the 4th level). And the stairs are too narrow. Imagine us with big backpacks ascending and descending small, long and narrow stairs. Kinda scary and risky. True, the building faces the canal but you can hardly see a tourist taking the station near it. The best part nonetheless is that it is just a walking distance to where tourists met.

Only spend one night in this hotel, but the staff are so helpful and nice :) full of information. Room not too big. The 3 beds has better space. Recommended.
Hotel Feature Tip: the room quite small, but i guess that how it is for small hotel in Europe, especially in central city.

Great location

Close to Trams, great base for site seeing
7.7
Very basic hotel with very small rooms. This was fine as most of waking hours spend out and about in Amsterdam. Check in was smooth and reception staff very helpfull. Building has a lift to assist with access. Hotel is located close enough to major area to be very convienient without being affected by the noise or other issues. Stayed a couple of nights and found the hotel easily accessible from the Train station via tram.
