Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.
We want you to pay the lowest possible rate for your room. If you have reserved a hotel room through Agoda, and then show us that you could book the same room, for the same dates, at a lower rate, that is viewable and bookable on another website, within 48 hours of booking your room with us, we will either match that rate or beat it. The Convent Hotel Amsterdam Info
Featuring 141 rooms and suites with colonial Dutch decorum adorn the interior of this 17th century refurbished building in Amsterdam. All of the rooms are bright and feature the ultra-comfortable, somewhat famous 'My Bed' exclusive to Sofitel. The location is second-to-none directly in the city center; the Central Train Station is only moments away as is the famous Royal Palace Dam. The picturesque canal area is just a few moments' walk away where a plethora of cafes and restaurants where people watching is a daily activity. Be sure to have a look at the nearby Anne Frankhuis (Anne Frank's House) where the tragic and famous story comes to life. A comfortable stay in the popular city, this 100% non-smoking establishment has been a favorite with travelers for many years.

Large, quiet room, big, comfy bed, nice bathroom.
The breakfast was not included and the options offered for sale were pretty pricey.
I really liked this hotel for its close location to the Central Station, and to lots of city attractions. It was clean, modern, and the staff were very friendly. My only criticism was that for the price we paid it seemed that a continental breakfast could have been included. Would definitely stay there again, though, and would recommend it.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You can easily walk to the Anne Frank house from here and to the Rembrandt House. If you rent bikes you can see lots more than you would on foot. Just take your time getting used to the Amsterdam bike scene: you're not only riding with other bikes (600,000 of them in the city), but trams, cars, pedestrians, and motorcycles/scooters. It's controlled madness but it works! Also, for a great view, go to the top of the new library (bibliotheek) to the right of Central Station. They have a great restaurant there and the view is spectacular.

Clean room, very comfortable bed, quiet, good location
We like the location of this hotel. It is not far from the Central Station and also not far from Dam Square.
Our only advice is that you need to check your bill carefully. We were almost charged for EUR 8.00 for something we did not use. It was on the bill when we checked out. They told us that it was pay-per-view TV on around 6 a.m. It was in their automatic system. We did not even turn on the TV in the morning! When we started to complain. They refunded us the amount. Well, at least they were reasonable.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Don't miss the flower market. No need to buy anything. You can take nice colorful pictures.

Good location, clean room, perfect beddings
This hotel looks very nice. It is in a good location, very easy to go to the Central Station and not far from Dam Square. You could walk or easily take a tram to get to Dam Square. The service was good. They let us leave our luggage after checked out for several hours. I found the bed so comfortable that it is hard to get out of the bed!
Shopping Tip : There is a big sourvenir shop at Dam Square where they have all kind of selections at reasonable price.
