Well located in Leeuwarden

I highly recommend this hotel which is very well located in the centre but easily accessible by car in Leeuwarden. The Valet Parking is worth using. The staff were delightful, room very nice with superbly comfortable bed. Restaurants excellent.
(why is smoking, especially cigars, allowed in the Netherlands in restaurants, whether inside or out?)
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Leeuwarden is in a beautiful part of the Netherlands and is a very delightful city with many architectural wonders and the Princessenhof Museum of ceramics is exceptionally good.

The receptionist was very friendly and explained us everything, we got a nice room with a beautiful bathroom in the 'old' part of the building - the room was classy, the bed was huge and the bedsheets crispy clean.
we've had breakfast at the hotel and it was delicious. The chef made us french toast ( wentelteefjes) on the spot.
hotel is definitely recommended and worth every penny.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
approx 25 km away from the waddeneilanden, where you can take the ferry and go to the islands: please do check the ferry times as they don't go that often.
