Enjoy the warm, friendly atmosphere of this lovely hotel, located right in the center of historical Bergen. The Bergen Travel Hotel offers modern rooms above a cosy, traditional pub, complimented by the genuine hospitality that one only finds in the smaller hotels of rural Norway. The pub and restaurant on the ground floor serves up delicious Norwegian ale, and a good selection of traditional Norse fare, and during the summer months, (short though they are), there is a lovely garden area to the rear of the hotel, where the impossibly light evenings can be enjoyed. Bergen itself is a postcard-perfect Norwegian city that is known as The Gateway to the Fjords. For a stunning view of this picturesque town, be sure to ride the funicular to the top of Mount Floyen, easily reached from the hotel and departing every half an hour.
