We stayed at the scandic Neptune twice, one night before our northern lights cruise and the night following the cruise. We chose the hotel for 2 reasons only, proximity to the Hurtigruten dock and price, we would definately stay there again if going to Bergen and will also now try Scandic hotels in general

It was a pleasant stay, they had a lounge that was open most hours that provided beverage, so it allowed for a good time to just chill and hang out. The rooms were also new and well furnished, along with the convenience of the location of the hotel, it makes for a good hotel to stay in.

My family stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly surprised at how spacious the rooms were. The rooms were also newly refurbished and it was a great experience for us. The location of the hotel is also convenient to get to the tourist information centre/fish market.

The hotel is near the fish market and tourist information centre which makes it convenient to travel around and visit major attractions as well as visit the local museums. We got the room on the 8th floor and was welcomed by the newly refurbished rooms that made the stay pleasant. Breakfast was also decent and overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Definitely going back there again if we do visit Bergen.

The building is relatively old, it can be seen from the grey color of hotel's outer wall. The furniture in the lobby looks old. But, the room is very comfortable and clean. Besides that, the location of hotel is very center, one can discover Bergen only within one day. The breakfast is very delicious. Finally, the price is relatively cheaper than other similar hotels in Bergen.

Before enter the room, please ask the room service details about room control temperature tools, because the mechanism is not the same as in tropical area. The other important thing is you should check and double check that your room is locked when you are exit from room because the lock is not automatic when you close the door, you should put the card room again when you exit the room (same as you enter the room)

Good location in that it is only 200 meters to the harbour front with all the restaurants and bars.
Only bad side is taxi's or the severe lack of them.
we waited for over 40 minutes for one and another person had been waiting for over an hour.
if you don't require a taxi at all then you will enjoy your stay.
