we booked a twin room in anker hostel but we got upgrade to hotel room! it is very nice welcome. the hostel and hotel is centrally located, just 2 stop of tram from central station. service is excellent. wifi is gratis. they have very clean room and nice staff. i am sure i will be back to this hotel later. keep up good job!

Big hostel just out of the centre of the city
Big rooms, very clean and helpful staff.

Hostel was located about a 5-6 minute walk to the centre of town. It is located in a bit of a rough area. Was warned about pick pockets in this area. Hostel does not have common rooms to chill out in and drink or socialise. Hostel was adequate though with big dorms and it was clean. Cooking utensils are available to hire for 100k and the money is returned once you return the items. to walk across to the harbour takes 15-20mins. Hostel is not far from bars in oslo... Price not to bad but overall it was a good experience with them.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
opera house, harbour and castle located next to the harbour are the best sites to see. the viking muesum is a must. But you have to get a bus there which will cost you 30k because its a trek from the city. Kings castle in the centre of town is worth a look too

Erm, odd neighbourhood?
Everybody around knows about this hostel

Not really close to the train station but still walkable (?). Walking back to the hostel at night can be quite scary... odd neighbourhood (?). Not very happy about the 'bring your own linen or pay more' rule.
