Rainbow Cecil Hotel Oslo Info
Amid the big city sights of Oslo, this property off Karl Johans Street allows travelers to see the entire capital on foot.
Located downtown, the Thon Hotel Cecil has the central location that comes in handy when visiting a city for the first time. Within a few moments walk of Parliament, the harbor, the Nobel Museum and countless bars and restaurants, the hotel cant be faulted in terms of location and inside it has plenty to recommend it as well. Rooms are modern and comfortable with parquet floors and picture windows - some with a view of an impressive central atrium. Internet is free via wifi and lobby computer and free hot drinks and fruit are available all day - invaluable in an expensive city like Oslo.

I stayed at the Cecil's a few years ago, and it was a good bargain for such a centrally-situated hotel in spite of the tiny rooms. It has become expensive, compared with other offers on the Web for luxury hotels such as the Grand Hotel, where I stayed after my stay at the Cecil's (it was cheaper !).
