great location for old town

Hotel is located on southern edge of old town and ideally situated for sightseeing. The hotel was clean and comfortable but the room (single) was adequate if quite small.I am not sure but without air conditioning the rooms may be very hot and uncomfortable in the summer. The breakfast was good by polish standards with a reasonable choice and the price was exceptional.

staff are friendly but didn't speak much English. Hotel is quite old,time for refurbishment I would say. Its OK for a short stay.

Good value hotel in old town

The Gromada Hotel is located in middle of the old town of Torun. The building is historical, but the hotel itself has been modernised. The best thing about it is the position. All attractions of the old town are only minutes walk away. Breakfast was included and you have a choice of about a half a dozen different options. English speaking staff were welcome in a place where English is not widely spoken. The hotel was good value for money and is reccomended.
