Great location; excellent breakfast, lots of quiet areas within the hotel. Best rooms are sea facing as you would expect.
The hotel was last refurbished in 2003 and could do with a refresh now.
Gym could be a lot better.
The hotel has a great location overlooking a clean beach with good access to beachside restaurants.
Breakfast was very good and the icing on the cake was the daily pianist (starts at 9AM) which made breakfast a pleasure that will stay with us for years to come. Sun beds are plenty with space for everyone.
Lots of quiet areas within the hotel if you’re searching for a little bit of private time to yourself.
We stayed in room 524 which was sea facing, had a great view, with sofa on the balcony. The hotel was last refurbished in 2003 and could do with a refresh now as some public areas are looking a little tired.
Small irritants were that the hotel staff whilst proficient didn’t really go that extra mile to make you feel welcome. The gym was poor to be honest for a hotel of the size and rating.
But these are little points and shouldn’t put you off what is a very decent hotel.
Restaurant Tip : There are two restaurants close to the hotel that are the best two we tried in Alvor. When departing from the hotel doors, turn immediately right and follow the road round. Reception will provide you the names - you won’t be disappointed
