For a taste of old-world Romanian glitz, this prestigious Hilton property offers more than just the regular five-star services. As far as multi-national hotels go, they rarely rank amongst the world's most unique or historic, which is where the Athenee Palace Hilton breaks the mould. From the massive marble columns in the lobby to the tiffany glass dome in the ballroom, this supposed former KGB headquarters immerses guests in the type of luxury not often associated with Romania. In terms of location, the Hilton is right on Republic Square next to the Opera House in the city center from which point all things in Bucharest are easy to find either on foot or by bus and tram. Business travelers Netherlands, February 23, 2013	good nice english pub good breakfast 8.7 we booked a room with balkon or terras, but unfortunately not all rooms have. we received a very nice room an upgrade but on the busy side of the hotel. When we requested another room they upgraded us again on a very nice calm suite. excellent hotel!

Big rooms, good facilities and great bathroom. 9 The Hotel is fancy, clean and spacious. too bad that the jacousy did'nt work well at the Spa, and there is no free wi-fi. Hotel Feature Tip: A very chip grossary store is located at the back of the hotel and it's open 24/7. also, free wi-fi at the Radison-Blu on the next corner.
