very far from downtown, it takes about 2,500 RUB to SOV airport.
No any instructure indicates how to take sub way.
The room is good enough, but air condition cannot be adjusted, I am wake up during midnight due to too hot.

Great value for money and convenient location
next to metro station, 20 minutes to center, many cafes around, great buffet breakfast

This particular Izmailovo hotel goes under Best Western brand and it ads quality ( I have stayed in other buildings before so can compare). Very friendly and helpful staff, buffet breakfast was just great with wide selection and options of cold and hot courses. Room price includes also access to pool and fitness in fitness center building right next to it (which was not advertised at time of booking). Room was very good quality, clean.
Hotel location is very convenient for getting around, because it is right accross the street from metro station and it is 15 - 20 minutes ride to center (depending on destination).
From my experience I would give more than 3* to the hotel.

standard hotel in russia.
english speaking is o.k. here.
room with free internet-access and internet stable, very good for bussiness trip.
room without cool air-condition. so, will have problem to stay during summer time.
but, i stay in winter time. everything just fine there.
very nearly metro station. lots of shops arround hotel.
will be a nice choice for this hotel.

I liked my stay so muchg , I felt so glad to stay there , i felt very secured and felt warm . the location is great , just 2-3 minuts walk from metro station , supper market is near .. really i would like to stay in same hotel again in my next visit to Moscow

hotel complex is big....... so you will feel safe to walk around

I think the hotel is good , location is just 1 min walk from metro & 6 metro stations away from city centre. The hotel is composed of 5 buildings, it is relatively big, you can get everything you need within the complex...... eg, several 24hours stores, take away shops, casino, resturants .....
And it is just next to famous Izamolivo market.....it is worth to walk around there ... and there is a shopping outlet opposite to the hotel... you can find some nice stuffs from there

der check-in war problemlos - das personal an der rezeption spricht englisch. das war es dann aber auch schon - ohne russischkenntnisse eher schlecht, aber mit hand und fuß ging es dann. zimmer sind echt ok und pro tag gibt es auch gratis 2 wasserflaschen. etwas irritiert haben mich die ständigen kontrollen von den "guards" vor den aufzügen - ist aber ok, man gewöhnt sich dran. das frühstücksbuffet war enttäuschend und mit knapp 12 euro pro tag wesentlich überteuert.
liegt auch weiter draußen - was aber wegen der metro kein thema ist. auf sonderangebote achten
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Kremlin @ Inzmailovo ist direkt nebenan und kann man sich gut mal anschauen...
