Budapest Hotel Moscow Info
Occupying a 19th Century building in the inner city, this classy vintage property offers neoclassical charm at a more than reasonable rate. A short walk from the Kremlin, the Budapest Hotel was once the haunt of noblemen and dignitaries a respectable past that lingers yet in its decorative cornices, lofty ceilings and heavy Victorian furniture. Located right where everyone in Moscow wants to be, the Budapest is only a few minutes walk from the Bolshoi and Chekhov Theaters, lies amid a surplus of good eating and is perilously close to the citys most expensive shopping. Rooms reflect the past grandeur of the Budapest and are refreshingly full of character having been spared the fate of the ultra-modern refurbishment.

Spacious room, friendly reception staff, good location, free newspaper (Financial Times)
Insufficient facilities, door staff could be rather cold and unhelpful
We stayed at the Budapest Hotel for 3 nights and had enjoyed it. The reception staff were nice and helpful. The room was spacious (though a bit outdated) and very quiet, and the hotel is centrally located, just 10-15 minutes' walk from the Kremlin. It wasn't cheap though, but still much cheaper than other hotels in the same area. I would definitely go back if I visit Moscow again in the future.
