Not really a hotel

very close to red square

This is not a hotel at all.It is a few individual self-contained rooms divided off from an apartment. When I arrived I foind no signage,no reception and after getting a local to call the number found out how to get into building.When I got to room there was no one to check me in an,finding a key in one of the doors,assumed this was my room.Later the staff member returned and scolded me for entering the room without registering. There was no soap or shampoo and no toilet paper and when I asked about fresh towel was told "no".(she spoke no English) There was no way to get into the room without the staff member letting me in so whenever I went out I was frightened I may not be able to get back in. things imoroved and I at least got toilet paper and fresh towel (but still no soap) The room is good and the shower was a module type with many functions.There is no heating in he room and just a small desk fan for cooling.There is no refrigerator but I imagine you can use the in in the common room. I don't think this place should be listed as a hotel,and it is not really suitable unless you speak russian.

Shopping Tip: Very good convenience store just up the road.

Good location but careful to "rip off"

This is not really a hotel, but apartments transformed into hotel rooms in a residential building. There is no name and it is very difficult to find. Overall, for a low budget traveler, this is not bad, BUT at departure the personnel tried to rip us off, by writing the correct amount in numbers, but the wrong one in letters on the credit card invoice...and when there is a discrepancy between both (letters versus numbers), the letter version prevails. So, just be very careful!
