Film Channel in my room didnt work they looked to fix it with out success. Internet is good around the whole hotel. I had meetings in the lobby looked to have one in the business centre to move away from smokers but they looked to charge even though noone was in the centre. Meals very good in the evening. Breakfast adequate service very good

My partner and I both live in Moscow, but we wanted a night in a top hotel as a celebration for her birthday. This hotel was just the place! If you want a great location, stylish rooms, then this is the place for you. You are only a few minutes walk from the Kremlin, The Balshoi Theatre and many other attractions. The breakfast was to be expected from a top hotel. The hotel is 100 years old, which adds to the appeal of the place.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take the number 2 bus all around the city. It costs 28 Rubles and will take you past lots of major attractions.

A very comfortable hotel with pleasant staff. It is centrally located and convenient for Red Square and all that stuff and the museums and attractions of Moscow. The buffet breakfast has everything you could possibly want and some things you possibly would not want.

I was staying with my kids at this hotel and would highly recommend it for families with children because of it's location. It is very close to one of the main shopping centers, Red Square and other attractions. The staff was friendly and smiling all the time, even when my 2 boys (6 and 4 years old) were being noisyI have stayed at the Marriott before and it was ok, but I will return for future stays at the Savoy.

Restaurant Tip:
Pelmen restuarant on Tverskaya Ulitsa. Keep walking up away from red square and its on the right side - excellent russian dumplings here at great price.

Savoy is luxury hotel, nicely decorated and well located near Red Square. staff are fairly trained and not really helpful. I had problem for check in and insisted to charge for extra person although i did reserve the room for two adults. Electric plug in room did not function properly and we ended up with no bed light. Assistant came but did not speak English. Breakfast (included in hotel charge) was fine and dining room was splendid--like we ate in 19th century. a good experience for our family.
Hotel Feature Tip:
clearly state in reservation form about number of adults/ kids to avoid unexpected surcharge. they strictly refer to the confirmation even though the room can be shared.

This was my first time staying at the Savoy and I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone. I have stayed at other hotels in Moscow and will always return for future stays at the Savoy. The hotel is located a few minutes from the Bolshoi Theater, Red Square, restaurants and shopping. The Savoy's breakfast buffet is the best I had and have traveled throughout Russia. The hotel staff were very friendly, speak English and always ready to accommodate. The hotel built in 1913 is beautiful and has many amenities. The rooms are nice and the bathroom is lush. My only regret is that I didn't have more time to stay and relax more!
Hotel Feature Tip:
Wasn't sure if I should bring lots of American dollars on this trip. No need, the Savoy has an ATM conventiently located on the second floor, so convenient when needing more Rubles.
