Ainsley H. Solo travelers Australia, August 05, 2012	Good hostel Acme Hostel is modern, clean and with friendly staff. It is in a good location, only a couple of minutes away from Nevskii Prospect, one of the main thoroughfares in St Petersburg. 7 I would recommend this hotel. It is clean, modern and in a good location. There are also lockers available in each room. They gave me a free upgrade to a smaller room (4 bed) as there was a large group of travelers who were having a large room to themselves. This was fine with me. Also, the walls were solid enough that I didn't hear the large group of travelers when we were in our separate rooms. The only improvements I can suggest are to make sure the TVs work (they didn't work and this was during the Olympics) and perhaps having bottled water available for sale. However, there is a grocery store nearby. Note that this hostel is on the 4th floor and is accessed by stairs, which was fine for me but might be difficult for others.

The location is hard to find as there is not street sigh, but all the staff speak English. Fantastic location, great value for money Hotel Feature Tip: The hotel is in the alcove next. To the hairshop. You need to ring the buzzer. There is. It street sign just a sign on the door.
