The staff can speak very good English. Although the metro stn is not nearby. There are a few buses that go to the city. Also, the breakfast has quite a lot of variety. Would def recommend this hotel.

I would highly recommend the Tradition Hotel for anyone traveling to St. Petersburg. It is a great location and the Peter and Paul Fortress, the Hermitage are just walking distance. There are great restaurants closely located as well. The hotel is nicely decorated, the rooms are plush and very comfortable and the staff was very helpful. They helped in arranging tours, taxis and departure accommodations. Very reasonably priced as well.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The hotel lobby has maps showing the main attrations and walking tours. Very helpful.

We stayed at this hotel during a sightseeing trip to St Petersburg and found that it was located in a nice quiet area and the staff were quite helpful in terms of showing us the way to the main landmarks around the city. The rooms were very large (mind you we had just come from a small hostel in Moscow) and fully equipped. They serve a decent buffet style breakfast as well.
