Nice little spa and pool area, excellent location
Some rooms are in loud areas, no Internet in rooms unless you pay
Petro Palace Hotel is located in an excellent location in St. Petersburg. It is very near to all of the sites that you most likely would like to see and is walking distance to a number of restaurants. There is also a little grocery shop next door where you can pick up a piece of fruit or bottle of water if you are trying to watch your money.

Nice room, wonderful location, good enough pool
Internet is only free in the lobby and the upstairs bar
Great location for this hotel - if you get it for a good price, it is definitely worth it. Airport pick up can be expensive.
Shopping Tip : Next door is a gastranom where you can buy fruit, water and snacks -- much cheaper than using the snack bar in your room.

Pretty great location, right in the center of the city. Number one feature was that the bathroom had a heated floor. That may seem like a stupid thing to be positive about, but it was really the only thing that set the hotel apart.
The rooms were very plain. Standard room had a lot of bare walls and no couch. Jr. Suite and Suite looked a lot more decorated. The breakfast was pretty ok. Some of the food seemed a little old (the bread) or spoiled (stay away from the salmon). Having said that, we did eat there every day.
Well, make sure that the breakfast is included in the price of your stay, because it is really expensive otherwise. The rooms were spacious and the location was really great. There aren't any subway stops too close to the hotel, but you are right in the center. Service was pretty ok, but the spa wasn't really worth your time. We went one day for like ten minutes. The jacuzzi was about 80 degrees F and the pool felt about 65.
