Grand old hotel, seen better days

the staff were really excellent, service wise, and all of them spoke very good english. the hotel looks lovely from the outside, the grounds are nice and the features are great, but it is old and dated, the rooms, elevator, furniture and bedding were very tired (and my first room stank of cigarettes and also the phone and wifi didn't work, but they moved me without a fuss). it needs a lot of work, and it's a good 25 minute fast walk into the town centre for food and shops, a walk that feels a little bit dodgy sometimes. it depends what you're there for. if you're just stopping in algeciras for a night or two and want to chill out at the hotel then i would recommend it. but if you want to see the town (which isn't much) then i would stay somewhere more central. the rooms were huge, and clean, and had a little balcony.

2ème étape dans cet hotel, à tres bon rapport qualité prix. Seul bémol ,les chambres du bas étaient imprégnées d'une odeur d'humidité assez désagrable, absente lors de notre 1ère visite Les chambres sont spacieuses et de caractère avec un petit déjeuner inclus .Un tres bon choix à Algeciras pres de l'embarcadère .
