The hotel was in a great location and had very pretty interior and grounds. The front desk staff were very impatient and unfriendly. The rooms were bare minimum-nothing impressive or very comfortable. Smoking is allowed throughout which was uncomfortable. The Paradors throughout Spain are very unique. Although Avila is a lovely place, this Parador is not very well maintained and staff are not very friendly. The food was decent, but below expectations. The comfort level of the rooms was significantly below expectations. The front desk staff were not very helpful or welcoming. Although it is a convenient location, I would not recommend this to friends or family members.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Get a map of the area from a local vendor. The map provided by the hotel was terrible and we wound up wandering lost multiple times.
