Barcelona

Located on the Mediterranean coast, Barcelona is one of Europe’s busiest ports. First founded as a Roman city, today it is one of the most vibrant cities in Europe, known as much for its nightlife as for its history and architecture. It’s also blessed with a perfect Mediterranean climate, making travel during anytime of the year fantastic with a multitude of accommodations to choose from.

La Placa Catalunya is the center of the city, and connected by all major streets. Getting around is made easy by the Metro, the quickest way to travel to and from your local residence in Barcelona to all the city’s famous sights. Buses are another option, with the added bonus of a night service that transports people to popular night spots or afterwards back to the hotel.

Due to the city's popularity as a tourist destination, there are several types of accommodations in Barcelona to suit all budgets. From cheap hostel rooms, to five star luxury hotels, to romantic rental villas, all are available in Barcelona. When it comes to dining food is everywhere, from street food, to traditional Catalan cuisine, to high-end restaurants, Barcelona’s wonderful aromas float from everywhere.

Barcelona is filled with museums, churches, and other inspired structures showcasing both classic and art nouveau architecture. Also a city known for beautiful beaches, both locals and tourists alike, flock to Sant Sebastia and Barceloneta, the oldest, most popular beaches in Barcelona. Tourist hot-spots are the Picasso Museum, Sant Pau del Camp, Sagrada Familia Church, and the famous street of La Rambla. And footballers will try to catch a match at Camp Nou to watch Barcelona’s stars take on the rest of La Liga.
