Made to feel welcome. Staff very helpfull; spoke English and (to other guests) German without problems. Great location. Beautiful design. Varied breakfast. A fantastic choice for a stay in Barcelona! I'd booked the hotel online as a birthday treat for my fashion-conscious daughter, and the choice couldn't have been better. Stunning contemporary interior, well appointed rooms, with a great colour scheme. Very spacious, both room itself and bathroom. The showerhead was dinner-plate sized; and amazing after a long day's strolling around town. Room was kept very clean, and every night the beds were turned back, and a card with next day's weather report provided. Nice wide single beds too. We had a room at the front; and when you stepped onto the little balcony and looked right you could see the Sagrada Familia. That was just a 15 min walk away; the city centre was about a 20 minute walk. Casa Mila and plenty of shopping streets about 10 min. walk.
The breakfast area was very well provided each morning. (Their scrambled egss were better than many rubbery versions I've tasted in England!).
Will definity return to Barcelona and my choice of hotel will again be the 987!
Restaurant Tip : Right next door to the hotel is a small mussels restaurant (La Muscleria I believe it's called); and the one evening we dined there it was filled with locals. So not a "turisty" place, and a huge variety in the way the mussels were flavoured. Main meal for under 10 euro.
