Nice hotel, excellent service, good quiet location. No need of parking since there are many available places nearby. Near the metro station and near the university of Barcelona. The room are spacious and very clean. Good furnitures, I will certainly take this hotel again.

Lovely hotel but few double beds!

I really liked this hotel. It's very modern, the decor is lovely and new, and the bedroom and bathroom was spacious and comfortable. I especially liked the toiletries provided, had a lovely bath with them!
The metro was 1 minute walk around the corner and it took only 12 mins to get into town. I'd never been to Spain before, and I managed to get around on the metro safely on my own - it was easy.
The staff were mostly friendly and helpful. There was free wifi downstairs but i purchased the $6 Euros for 24 hours wifi in my room, which was a reasonable speed and reliable.
The only negative was I asked for a standard room and was given twin beds (2 singles) which was a bit uncomfortable for someone who stretches out in their sleep! But it was not a dealbreaker.
Honestly it's worth staying out of town a bit to get away from the crowds, stay in a large, comfortable new hotel with a good gym and breakfast. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Ask for a room with views of the mountains, park and university.

Convenient location with a metro stop nearby

There is no free wifi in the rooms, only in certain common locations. The room was quite comfortable and the location of the hotel, in an area not close to main tourist attractions may seem inconvenient but with a metro stop close by, if you are a tourist and have time to spare, makes every part of the city, from the beach to the outskirts, accessible.
Some amount of walking is necessary so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. The area around the hotel resemble rolling hills so you can enjoy a good workout for your legs if you decide to stroll.
The location is in Catalonia but Spanish is understood readily enough. This area has a very strong flavor of old world charm and the hotel is an easy access point to the delights to be found in the Catalonian culture.

best value hotel in barcelona
great hotel with friendly staff. very near to metro station (mundet) and it only takes less than 5 minutes walk.

room is clean and tidy. as mentioned by others, is a little noisy because is just next to highway. aircond take some time to cool down the room, but overall is not an issue.
there isnt any complimentary water bottles given in the room. i think they should seriously consider to provide this as a courtesy.

While Alimara had nothing wow to it for us, it was a good stay. Staff were friendly enough, location was close to a station (but quite a few stops away from anything much), room was nice.
Unless it was for a really good deal we probably wouldn't seek Alimara out again, but if it suits your budget or desired location in Barcelona it's a perfectly good option.

Nice hotel at remote but convenient location

got a good rate to stay at this hotel for 4 days, hotel condition is great. it's at a queit location a bit far from downtown but it's only a 2-min walk from the nearest subway station. from that station it's only 20 min to most of the attractions in the city. would recommend for anyone unless they are not comfortable with the quietness. no shops or even convenient stores around the hotel, which is the only little problem we had staying there.

segun entre en mi habitacion 103 estaba sin aire acondicionado y me solucionaron el problema en tiempo record, muy bien.
lo que no me gusto mucho es que me hicieron esperar 20 para cenar en la terraza y uno de los camareros le cayo la llelera de la mesa de al lado que nos salpico a nosotros y los platos de la cena y ni discupas pidio.
por lo demás en general bien

Necesitabamos una habitación para 3 noches para acoger unos familiares en casa. No tuvimos problemas de ningún tipo. Solo habríamos preferido la habitación mas silenciosa, pero el ruido del aire acondicionado molestó un poco.

las luces económicas que han puesto en todas las lámparas del hotel, incluidas habitaciones, hacen que todo el mundo tenga pinta de momia viviente. podían, al menos, haber buscado bombillas 'calidas' (las hay).
hay que insistir enérgicamente para que te den una habitación de fumadores.
el aire acondicionado es ruidoso.
por lo demás, bien. buen precio.
