Hotel room was fine, new and clean but a little small. Wifi connection available but very slow!
Reception staff very friendly and helpful, spoke decent English.
Location of hotel is a little far from Passeig de Gracia or La Rambla (shopping areas) - about 30 mins walk but there is a metro station (Arc de Triomf station) just 5 mins walk away.
Hotel is situated in a residential area with many mini-marts and eateries around.
Restaurant Tip:
There is a nice Chinese restaurant just 5 mins walk from the hotel. Good food and reasonably priced with English menu. Turn right as you come out of hotel and right again at first block. Restaurant is about 30m at the left side corner.

The hotel is wonderful and the staff very helpful. The hotel is perfectly located, less than 10 minutes from Famalia Sagrada, 5 from Arc de Triomf and about 15-20 to everything else. Nice "local" neighborhood. Many restaurants, bars, etc all around. Gare du nord 3 minuted away.
Restaurant Tip:
Nice Italian restaurant 2 blocks away.

Location is just ok. At least three blocks away from subway. And the subway line required you to transfer once to go other places.
The neighbor is safe and with supermarkets and bakery within just a block.
The hotel wasn't able to give us the room (one double bed) we want when we checked in.
Room is clean and a bit old, but manageable.
Staffs are friendly and helpful. In general, it's just an ok hotel to stay. We expected more but there isn't any surprise. If you have other potions, go somewhere else.

I don't think this hotel is worth 4 stars. Hotel rooms were smaller than expected. Beds were comfy but bathroom was a bit outdated. Fresh towels every day. Cleaning of beds and room was good. Breakfast is about 15 euros, didn't try it as i rather have my breakfast at a local bakery(Oriol) near the hotel. In overall good but basic.
The location was ok, not in a touristic area. Not much shops around. To the Metro is a 5-7 minutes walk. And it was a 20 minute walk to the historical centre.

All in all a pretty good hotel. The air conditioner struggled a bit on those really hot days, but otherwise good.

i just pick this hotel primarily because of location and price.
i was not disappointed. the staff were extremely friendly, room was very clean and big enough for me, a solo traveller. gym is ok for a hotel this size. breakfast was superb. nearest metro is under 5 mins walk.
that night shift male hotel staff ( don't have his name but he spots a beard) was especially helpful when i asked for recommendations / request for toiletries.
yes, i would return to this hotel if i find myself in barcelona again.
highly recommended.
Restaurant Tip:
if you like fresh seafood that you can pick and have it cook, try piex d' or, which is just a mere 5 mins walk away. had dinner here twice consecutively.........so excellent and delicious !

Clean and very friendly reception
The rooms were spotless, large for Europe and had a bathtub!

this hotel was in a charming residential neighborhood about 8 blocks from the action of the gothic quarter but 2 blocks from the arc de triumph monument and park which we really enjoyed. everyone was very helpful and we didn't hear any noise from the city during the night. i would stay there again.
