Nice hotel though not 4 stars.

Requested double room - had 2 single beds . No bathroom toiletries. Wooden bedroom floor looked dirty as wood all scratched. Decent breakfast. No bar waiter service without phoning for him! Poor quality beds. Good location for mixed beach/sightseeing break.

Great location for the beach and new areas

We arrived by taxi which was probably advisable as the hotel is a short but not immediately obvious walk from Poblenou underground. A very new hotel in a new area of Barcelona. Rooms are spacious, light and airy with good, clean facilities. The breakfast is a vast buffet and worth the occasional indulgence at 15 euros; we enjoyed this on our first morning very much. There is also an evening restaurant facility and although we did not try this the menu looked attractive. The area is excellent for access to the new beaches of Barcelona and is sited away from the main hustle and bustle of the centre, so a good choice if you want to explore the harbour/beach areas rather than the town centre. However, the tube is only a 6 minute walk from the hotel once you get your bearings and can take you into the centre in about 15 minutes.
The reception staff seemed a little distracted most of the time, as if they were new to the job and not in full possession of information they needed, but overall a lovely new hotel in a futuristic area of Barcelona.
Restaurant Tip:
Look for the local smaller cafes en route to Poplenou station for a much cheaper meal than you will find along the seafront. You will also get to see local life rather than tourists.

Service was good as they were helpful with directions for sightseeing.
Too bad that the view which is showed on the pictures is only for the more expensive suites, which are not the ones they offer through this site.

Wonderful Rafael Diagonal port

Rafael Diagonal Port hotel is close to the sea ( 100 m) . The air is fresh, even mid summmer, the rooms aircondition worked well. It's also close to the public bus ( just outside hotel ) , and metro ( 5-10 min walk ). The staff was most helpful and spoke English well. Breakfast buffet was well above average, with egg&bacon, fresh fruits and sweet pastry.
With the room price we got from agoda, this hotel deal is one of the best I've ever made.
Travel tip:
Found some local interesting shops ( food market, clothes ) and restaurants close to hotel. Here you were close to the very helpful citizens. They didn't speak English, but with body language and a smile, communication was no problem.

Estuvo todo correcto a excepción del trato de uno de los empleados. No fue para nada amable.
También habría que señalar que el grifo de la ducha no funcionaba bien, en la posición de agua caliente caía de vez en cuando agua fría, y el aparato era un poco complicado para manejar.
