great location, but beware!

The location was excellent, but we were charged extra when we arrived. The room above us leaked and I fell in the bathroom unknowingly. They offered no compensation. The breakfast was really good. The room had no window.
Restaurant Tip:
Have tapas at Chocitlo on the Rambla.

Great location but small rooms

This hotel has a brilliant location literally 20 seconds off las ramblas,
The staff are really friendly and couldn't do enough to help.
Only problem was hotel is not as classy as the photos suggest, the rooms are quite small and the doors on the rooms are paper thin so you can hear everyone coming in and out through the night. The staff were great with us and really friendly and for what we wanted in Barcelona, this place served its purpose really well. Reception classy but rooms not so much, fairly standard.
I would recommend this place to people but don't expect top class hotel, just standard and a great value for money, especially given it's excellent location.

Convenient central location.

Hotel is overall a good 3 star hotel just off Las Ramblas. The room I had was at the back, and very quiet. Breakfast was very good and the receptionists were very polite and helpful. It is undergoing renovation which meant during the day there was painting and carpentry in the lower floors. As a result of the renovations, wifi was only available in the ground and first floors.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Barcelona centre isn't particulary safe and in a few hours walking about I was frequently and irritatingly pestered by people and had pickpockets attempt to rob me using distraction techniques. Be really careful.

Cozy hotel with great location

The hotel is nice and clean, very cozy. It has an excellent location at the heart of Barcelona's tourist area.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Checkout the Gaudi architecture in the area. Its fantastic.

The location was great and the staff was friendly. My room and bathroom were clean and updated. However, the walls were too thin as I could hear my neighbors in the early morning.
The hotel did offer a discount on the restaurant next door. Which I took them up on. The food was decent and generous portions.
Unfortunately, the hotel wifi didn't work which was a real bummer. I happened to be in Barcelona during Epiphany, which is a big holiday/celebration. Being that my room overlooked the street, which was on the corner of La Ramblas, I didn't get much sleep the night before I was to leave as there was much partying, garbage collection at 3 a.m., etc.
If I go back to Barcelona I would try another hotel that was not so close to La Ramblas.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Buy the Barcelona Tourist Bus passes. I bought the 2 day tourist bus pass and it was great for seeing the city. Additionally, the Aerobus, for 5 Euros takes you from the airport to the center of the city and leaves every 10 minutes.
