just 10-20 meters off la rambla and around 10-20 minutes away by walking from placa catalunya and the beach. i can't wish for a better location. the staff are friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the city. you can get a 10% discount from a decent restaurant just next door (average-good paella and arros negre) by staying in this hotel, but make sure to present the coupon before paying.
great breakfast too, a decent selection of cured meat and fruits. the bread and pastries are not that good, but maybe because i was just from paris the day before where i ate parisian baguette and croissant for breakfast.
fast internet connection in the common area.

Great hotel in la ramblas
Great location, helpful & friendly staff, reasonably spacious triple share room

The hotel in smack bang in the centre of the bustling la ramblas area - 1 min walk to the train station. Staff were friendly and very helpful from the moment we arrived, giving us all the necessary warnings and advising of major tour attractions and how to get there. Our triple share room was surprisingly more spacious than we expected, and the bathrrom was good.

This hotel was everything we needed. I travelled with 5 of my girlfriends on a backpacking trip, and we stayed here for a night. The bathroom in our room wasn't working properly, but luckily we had two rooms, so it wasn't an issue. Also, we were just there for the night.

Good choice, great location, very helpfull staff.
Close to most things you want to see in Barcelona, and easy to get to everything.

This Hotel was a great place to stay, we were close to most things, and the staff were always helpful, would stay there again if we were to go to Barcelona again.

The location is fantastic! Right smack in the middle of La Rambla. You're not too far away for shopping, food, sightseeing and the next metro station (Liceu). My friends and I asked for a room in the back of the hotel and it was so nice and quiet there that we had no problem sleeping. We couldn't even hear the La Rambla.
Would I stay here again? Definitely!
Cons; When you check-in the staff will most likely offer you a 10 % discount voucher for the restaurant next door. My friends and I went there and the food was OK (not great) but the service was terrible. After one hour of waiting only half of what we ordered arrived.
Shopping Tip:
Cross the La Rambla into El Gothic. You kind of get the medieval feeling in these narrow alleys which are stuffed full with shops, bars and restaurants.
