Very good location-near beach and restaurants. Not too big, rooms are small but clean.
Food was average, discos alongside and across the street: not the place to stay if you was a quite break.
Benidorm is a very popular vacation spot for the Spanish as well as the English. La Perla's location is just 5 blocks east of the centre of the old town and 3 blocks from the western end of Levante beach. For the best Spanish Tapas bars and restaurants head for la Poniente, the older, western end of the beach, and the old town directly behind it. If you just want Watney's Red Barrel with the Spanish sun then go straight to Levante beach and stay there....you won't like any if the rest of the country either.
Restaurant Tip : Excellent Italian called Toscana near the crossing of Calle Gerona and Ave. del Dr. Llorca. Great pasta, Wood Fired pizza oven and nice ambience. Get there by 8pm or expect to wait for a table!!
