Could not have been closer to the cathedral.

Hotel had a lovely atmosphere and when we went to our room could not believe the view we had of the cathedral. Very central and we were able to walk round town to see all the attractions and shopping. The staff were very helpful.

i spent two nights at the meson del cid hotel and highly recommend both the hotel and burgos, the town, as a great place to relax, away from the hustle and bustle of places like madrid or barcelona. this is a getaway -- a place for you to bring a book, walk around, sit on the park benches, and spend some time checking out the beautiful gothic cathedral.
the hotel itself is two buildings -- the old one faces the cathedral right up front, and the annex is a little more at a right angle but pretty good views too, but from the windows you will still be able to see the incredible cathedral, which is seriously close to the hotel -- they're across the street from each other, and you'll be able to check out the cathedral in a way you normally wouldn't -- like a bird on a perch.
i felt the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room neat, simple, and clean. i'd recommend this as the place to stay if you're in burgos.

garage en face de l'hotel (15 euros/jour). emplacement idéal pour visiter la ville. Des chambres vue imprenable de la cathédrale. Personnel sympatique et à l'attente du client (pret de parapluie)

Les chambres ne sont pas très grandes mais très très propres. La vue est imprenable sur la cathédrale. Le lieu est calme. Le personnel est accueillant et à l'écoute du client. Un soir de pluie, on nous a proposer des parapluies. Il y a un garage en face de l'hotel (15 euros/jours).C'est un endroit magnifique.
Travel tip:
Je ne le conseille pas à des personnes handicapés ou à des personnes qui ont des difficultés à marcher car il y a beaucoup de marches autour de l'hotel pour visiter.
