Cordoba has been on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1984, due to the large number of historical buildings in the city. The city has a rich history of being the capital of a Roman state as well as an Arab one. The city is in the Andaluc?a region of Spain, known for its rich Moorish heritage.
Today, Cordoba is a modern city, and connected to nearby cities in the region as well as other major Spanish cities by the vast rail network. The Old City will truly fascinate the tourist, and most of it can be accessed on foot.
