Vintage warmth radiates from this older-style hotel on the centrally-positioned Plaza Nueva. Located in the Albaicn the old part of the city, this property is a faithfully restored 19th Century building facing a lively historic square. Interiors are furnished in a classic Andalusian manner, dark antique furniture, polished wood floors and tall wood-shuttered windows creating an atmosphere that is elegant and welcoming at once. Views from room balconies include the nearby Alhambra and the square below, where locals dine on churros and sip hot chocolate almost around the clock. It's a few paces to the old Arabic hammam from here and a short uphill walk to the Alhambra, just a couple of Euros in taxi fare for those who want to give their legs a rest. Another bonus is the free internet.

great location, not very good rooms

hotel was convenient and fairly cheap but we were dissappointed as no tea coffee in room and no shampoo etc. until we asked for it .we also had a room overlooking the alleyway instead of overlooking the square as we had asked for.porter very friendly though.

Excellent Location in Granada

A clean hotel right on the main square of Granada. This hotel was comfortable and right on the best area in granada for nightlife and eating. This does mean that it gets very noisy at night with the lively student party scene, but the heavy windows did an okay job of keeping this out. The hotel was cheap, and allowed easy access to most of tourist interest in Granada by foot or on the bus from plaza Nueva to the Alhambra (and the taxi was less than 4 euros and 8 euros to the main train station.) Staff spoke some English. Would stay at this excellent value hotel again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
In Granada all drinks come with free tapas, some of it excellent. We found that we didn't need to buy dinner most nights, and big drinkers will not be able to keep up with all the tapas.

plaza nueva hotel offers a very reasonable price with a great perfect location. it is located near the bus stop to alhambra and other shopping street. the front desk staff showed his kindness to help me printing out the notice to alhambra which was received only one day before my visit. the only demerit is that no free wifi is provided. anyhow, i would also like to recommend those tourists who are planning to stay in granada.

It is very convienent to everywhere.
