A let down by Marriott
Easy access to Atocha Railway Station and Airport Shuttle. Walkable distance to City Center

I booked a Marriott because I thought I will get value for money. Unfortunately I was wrong. The room wasn`t clean, the building looked like a bunker to me and the reception staff didn`t understand english very well. The breakfast also was a let down, every morning one had to search for clean plates and cups. I complained to reception about the cleanliness of my room, they didn`t get it at all. I will not recommend this Hotel to anybody.

Modern with a good location
Very nice design, modern, clean. Very quiet, even if the room was overlooking the street. Spacious room with good bed and beddings. Good location next to Atocha Station, close to two subway stations. Direct subway line to Plaza del Sol. Walking distance from Queen Sofia Museum (Picasso, Dali) and from the Prado. Several good local restaurants.

Had a bit of trouble to find the hotel because my booking indicated it was only that it was located on Delicias but there are two perpendicular streets named Delicias (Paseo de Delicias and Calle de Delicias). Went down the wrong one (Paseo de Delicias). Very helpful staff. The guy at front desk gave me a map and a lot of details on what to visit, how to get there, where the closest subway stations were, what was nearby, where to go for food. Wifi internet in the room is not free but they have a package providing you with 24 hr of use for a reasonable price (it is not a 24 hr period but 24 hr online, the counter stops when you log off). You can also use the internet for free in the lobby. The breakfast is reasonable but not worth the price they ask for if it is not included with your room.

Up to the stardart 4 star hotel

This new hotel is decorated with designer's display and furnitures in comfort measures.
The rooms and facilities are all up to the stardard of a 4 stars hotel. One short-coming to count is the lack of bath tub, but this is compensated by the separate showing and toilet.
The location is good, walking distance to the train station and 2 different lines of metro. The must-see Museo Reina Sofía
is also walking distance.

a very good hotel at the best location to visit the old and the new madrid, close to every interesting places, not far from the airport (20 min by car), near the rail mainstation. perfect !
Restaurant Tip:
many restaurants in the hotel's area, good food even if sometimes a bit expensive !

Good location, quiet yet convenient

the hotel was located in a convenient spot, easy for us to drive into the city to find, and also convenient when we left by car. located in a quiet part of the city, but near the atocha train station (convenient when we went to toledo) and within walking distance to the museums, which was a big plus.
we especially like the free mini-bar, especially after a hard day of walking and sightseeing, the drinks were much appreciated! they even have beer, orange/pineapple juice, and coke. a good variety.
the cons are that wireless is only available in the lobby, not in the rooms. and we were staying in another extension building to the main building. it took more walking, and we did not feel that they did not secure the perimeter of the walkway from the main building to the extension. we were safe and did not meet any incidents, though i would likely be wary of walking alone.

We stayed at the hotel for a weekend in Madrid, and found the location and the set up to be perfect for our needs when exploring the city. It's also got a very easy connection with the airport with the railway station less than 5 minutes away.

the hotel is just 5 minute walk from madrid atocha station. the hotel is very modern (newly open in 2010), the room is large with a transparent shower. i am very impressed for the free minibar provided so that we can enjoy various drink after a long day. i will definitely choose this hotel again as it is very convenient (closer to rail/metro station)
