In a lively spot between the Gran Via and the Puerta Del Sol this affordable property is central to sights and to nightlife. In Madrid's historical and entertainment hub, the Anaca Hotel provides instant access to some of the capital's major landmarks. Sol, Callao and Gran Via metro stops are all close by and the museums of Paseo del Prado are around a 15-minute walk away. Inside, the Anaco is clean and basic with adequately sized and modernized rooms and a hearty breakfast of tortillas available to guests for a nominal fee in the adjoining Cafe. Staff members are friendly and conversant in English and more than happy to assist with luggage or local recommendations. On all sides of the hotel is something new to do -- shopping along Calle Preciados, dining on tapas around Huertas or partying in the gay area of Chueca.
