The hotel is excellently situated, overlooking the Plaza Cibeles and is less than a minute away from the nearest metro station. Rooms are comfortable, well furnished and are equipped with a host of modern amenities including complimentary Wi-Fi. The restaurant serves mouth watering Mediterranean and international dishes and the bar is a great place to start or end an evening exploring Madrid. The traditional Spanish breakfast of churros and chocolate is particularly good at Calle San Gines nearby.

great location
clean and quiet
very nice hotel in a good location on the main street, the only problem with the location was the fact that we didn't find parking. the staff is very polite and helpfull; they told us about the main attractions and even a nice flamenco show. the room was clean and quiet. breakfast buffet was good with a big variety of foods

Location, location, location!! Plus style, service and value. I couldn't ask for a better combination at any price.
The timid or unseasoned traveller might be off-put by the graffiti and grittiness of the neighborhood north of the hotel at first sight, but it's crowded with people and perfectly safe at all hours.. and there is nothing the hotel itself can do about this. It is indeed the real Madrid. The hotel location on GranVia--a very busy shopping street--is superb. If you like New York or London, you'll love this hotel.
The location is within a ten minute walk or metro ride of most everything you'd want to see in Madrid. The hotel itself was warm and inviting, a charming old building but totally new and modern inside. As a medium sized hotel, it offered a sense of respite and intimacy in a large central city once you walked through the door into the inviting lobby. Friendly helpful staff,sleek modern comfortable room, superb breakfast buffet (included in my rate), free internet/computer use in lobby business center all made this a near steal at 82 Euros a night. I couldn't have been more pleased or satisfied and would recommend this hotel highly.
Restaurant Tip : Great full service restaurants and tapas bars within a five minute walk in the fashionable yet gritty Chueca neighborhood just north of the hotel made this a PERFECT location. Our superb 11 Euro three course lunch del dia at the chic comfortable and modern, yet elegantly appointed, Sama Sama restaurant on Calle San Bernardo was one of our Madrid high points for style and value...my "insider's secret tip".
