Couples United Kingdom, January 29, 2013	Excellent location 5 minutes walk from the Prado Comfortable rooms and peaceful location 8.3 this is a typical 'hostal' - clean, simple, comfortable, but no frills. there is not always staff at the reception, and there is no restaurant or catering. the hotel is almost opposite las cortes which is the parliament building, so there is high-security and also plenty of excellent restaurants and bars for the politicos to have their long lunches! there is a regular airport bus service (5 euros, every 15-20 mins) departing in front of the post office near plaza cibeles - less than 10 mins walk from the hotel. there is wifi, but i had to go out of my room for it to connect properly. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: The Prado and the Thyssen museums are very close. There is also a Naval Museum equally close. We walked back from a soccer match at the Bernebeu in about 30 mins, straight down Paseo Castellana.

Couples United States of America, September 09, 2012	Clean room, excellent location Cleanliness, location 10 We stayed at Hostal Armesto for 2 nights and it is definitely a good value for your dollar. I booked through agoda and had to prepay for both nights. we arrived a little early (around 10 am) and there was a room available for us, however we asked for a room with a bigger bed. The owner (who does not speak English but somehow manages to communicate with you without a problem) told us that he will have a room ready in an hour so we left our luggage there and went out to have breakfast. When we returned an hour later, he had already put our luggage in the room. The room itself was very clean and we could recognize it from some of the pictures in agoda.com. It was small but had enough space for us and the luggage and since we were only there to sleep, we didnt really need much. The window opens to a small street which is quiet during the day but can get a little noisy in the early mornings when people were coming back from the bars. There was free wifi in the lobby but not in the room. the hostal is located close to an area with lots of bars and clubs and also really close to the Prado museum and the parks. Definietly recommend the hostal if you are looking for a clean place in a good location in Madrid.
