Good location but the hotel is very old fashioned

The hotel is well located just at the heart of Madrid. The rooms are small, old fashioned - out of date- and not well maintained. It seems as a place of the 70s but not well maintained.
Breakfast was quite good and this has a very reasonable price.

thermostat never seems to work. It gets very very hot and then you have to switch the heater off yourself. And then turn it on again when it's too cold. Walls are not thick. You can hear your neighbours. The lift makes a sound which could be heard from the room.

The location is good, at the city centre. And it's just right next to the Metro exit. So, it's safe even you go back to the hotel at night.
But the single room doesn't have a good view from the window. The window is facing the inside part of the building.

for a couple of days stay in madrid, its hard to find a rival to this hotel in the location, as they are situated right in the heart of madrid. combined with a reasonable rate, shops around, cafe/restaurants and shops, you'll enjoy tryp as much as we do.

I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms were very Noisy and small. Staff does not welcome you. only the good point with this hotel is its location.

Hotel is a bit impersonal but I did not mind. However a bar would have been nice.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
No real need to do tourist bus, it is xpensive and if you are happy to walk, then can visit the main sights easily. Also you can find bars in back streets which are cheaper than in the main squares such as Playa Major. The metro is also cheap.
