Modern & New
Very convenient
Extremely stylish
Not the biggest rooms in the world
A fantastic find. As it's new it's still in spanking condition and everything works just the way it should. Some inspired design and quirky touches. Even hints at some achingly cool design but doesn't dare really exploring all it could. The highly polished metal slide from the first floor to the reception on the ground is at odds with the business side of the hotel but a fun and light touch which brought a smile to my face. Maybe suits can have fun? Still, a great effort by a corporate hotel chain. Exceedingly convenient as it's located in the main train station so perfect for a nights stop over before going to the airport. Breakfast was relatively good.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Would recommend this hotel more for a convenient stop over in central malaga or for business. Definitely not a romantic holiday destination as it's in a heavily built up bit of town.

Big beds, attached to the station so great for travel, good breakfasts with fresh orange juice and hot and cold items
Not enough internet enabled computers in communal areas.
The Barcelo Malaga was the perfect location for our last night in Spain as it is attached to the station where we could catch the train to the airport. The bed was comfortable and rooms had nice touches like good lighting and electronic blinds. There is even a slide in the hotel which you can choose to go down from ground 1 to 0 instead of the stairs! There was a delicious breakfast and staff were very helpful. Communal areas good contemporary design.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The gallery of modern art is close to the hotel in an all white 1930s warehouse. It is free to visit and art is well laid out.

Nice hotel, nice furniture, good bed, nice bathroom, good breakfast. Good location.
Hard to find entrance, could be painted better.
We chose the hotel as the first hotel on our tour of Andalucia. There was a bus (No 19) directly from airline seats and hotel. It was hard for us to find the entrance to the hotel, and road markings could be better. But surely arrived inside, we were surprised at how beautiful everything was. We actually went and looked curiously around! Check-in was quick and efficient. Lovely with English-speaking staff. Room was excellent, everything worked fine. There was a remarkably quiet inside the room with the thought that the hotel actually lies above the station. Very good breakfast. And so it was Hertz car rental just down to the basement, we could not have been better off on our tour, and will definitely stay here again if we come to Malaga.
Travel tip : Malaga Car Hire is located in the hotel basement.
