The Bakfickan Hotel is situated in a quiet neighbourhood yet reasonably convenient to get to from the central railway station.
It is also within walking distance of major tourist attractions such as the city hall and the Glama Stan, as well as a shopping street. Worth mentioning is the breakfast included in the room rate. Good quality snd variety, the best that we had during our tripto Finland and Swedan. Our room were clean and beds were comfortable.
Travel tip:
There are many restaurants in the nearby shopping street.

mixed feelings with the customer service

upon arrival, we were surprised that our room is located at the adjacent entrance to the main reception. we dragged our bags through the icy path to the next front entrance, and got to our room with another surprise- our bathroom is located next door to our bedroom!!! it was a large bathroom, but the whole set up felt like a make shidt hotel. our room didnt have a phone or a kettle. to request for a kettle, my husband had to find the phone along the corridor and he was told that he should go to the main reception at the adjacent entrance to request for one. he battled the cold and made it to the main reception, only to be told that there wasnt any spare kettle!! ww had our vreakfast the next morning, and we requested for a kettle again. the staff was really helpful and gave us a kettle instantly. i guess it depends on who we spoke to. she waa really helpful with showing us the main tourist spots and transport method. we got an 24hr train pass fromthe reception which cost us sek115 each. that saved us lots of tine travelling from one island to another.
the hotel is only 3 mins walk to the nearest station and 15mins stroll to the main shopping street. very convinient.

The staff were all very helpful in finding good places to eat, nice things to do. Breakfast was nice, although busy,nice and quiet, the buffet was very nice!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Waxholm, you go by boat - return by bus - spend the whole day - very romantic surroundings.

rooms clean and spacious,small sized 'english' style double beds.
one hiccup :if you arrive late make sure you receive all the codes to enter the hotel.it took us 30 minutes to enter the hotel, not fun after a long journey and at 1.00 am in the morning.we received previously by phone an entrance door code and a deposit box code for the room keys.however you also need a code to enter the floor where the room is situated which we did not receive(one would have thought it would be good practice to leave it in the deposit box with the keys!also the number to telephone for night assistance would help if in a more prominent position.
Restaurant Tip:
Rolfs restaurant and the Queens head pub nearby.

Einfaches, sauberes Hotel
Sauberes kleines Zimmer. Ruhig gelegen, trotzdem sehr zentral (1 Min. zur bekannten Einkaufsstr. Drottningatan und 15 Gehminuten zur Gamla Stan). Feundliches Personal.

Das Frühstück im Nachbarhotel Lila Radmannen(gehört dazu) war sehr gut. Dort war auch eine kleine Hotelbar, wo man sich abends noch einen Absacker genehmigen konnte. Das Hotel eignet sich sehr gut für einen Sightseeing Aufenthalt, wenn man auf Luxus verzichten kann. Abschließend ist zu sagen, dass das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut in Ordnung war. Wir würden auf jeden Fall dort noch einmal einchecken und können es jedem weiterempfehlen.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Ein Besuch der Östermalm Saluhall (Essen und Besichtigung) sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen.
Vor der Saluhall gibt es auch einen kleinen Imbiss, wo man eine typische Wursttasche mit Kartoffelpü zu sich nehmen kann. Sollte man unbedingt mal probieren.

스톡홀름의 중심지에서는 좀 떨어져 있지만 운동삼아 걸어가면 10-15분 정도면 main street에 도착함. 직원들이 영어도 매우 잘하고 친절함. 그런데 엘리베이터 문이 하나밖에 없어서 타이밍 잘 못 맞추면 엘리베이터 사고가 날수 있으니 조심해야함. 그리고 중요한 정보는 샤워실이 따로 있다는 사실. 그것도 저렴한 가격대의 방으로 예약하면 샤워실도 없으니 조심할것. 그 호텔에 머물면서 가장 좋았던 것은 호텔에서 도보로 10분 거리에 아리랑이라는 오픈한지 38년된 한국식당이 있는데 비빔밥과 김치가 정말 일품이었음. 오픈한지 오래되었다고 해도 새로 오픈한것 같이 깨끗하고 쾌적한 환경이었고, 주 고객은 현지 스웨덴 사람이 대부분이고 한국인 손님은 내가 유일했음. 한국사람이라고 특별히 서비스로 술도 주는 후한 인심이 있는 식당에 추운날씨도 녹을만큼 마음이 따뜻해졌음.
