Small rooms but great location

nordic sea is only a few meters away from the arlanda expresse (airport expresse) so this is the perfect hotel for any business trip to stockholm. be sure to take the express train from the airport to get here. it will cost you sek, the alternative is to take one of the taxi's, this could run you anywhere from 400 up to 1000 (or even more if you get one of the realy bad taxis) the rooms can be small and without window. but comfortable beds, and clean rooms. the breakfast is ok.

Nordic Sea and Nordic Light (On the opposite side of the street) are two good hotels in sentral Stockholm. IF you are able to book in advance, you should be able to find rooms at a decent rate. Some of the rooms are windowless, but they are ok for the traveler that is just looking for a comfortable bed and clean room. The breakfast is good even though the breakfast localities seems a bit run down (in contrast to the rest of the hotel)

Nordic Sea and their cibling hotel Nordic Light are my prefered hotels in Stockholm. Nordic Sea has a very nice style, the reception area looks realy nice, and even the design of the rooms is refreshing and interesting. On the smaller rooms they have a pretty cool solution on the wallpapers, that depicts a stockholm city street. The breakfast was very nice, and did not have any shortcommings. A bit crowded though, so if you mind sitting with strangers at your table, you should go late or early. Personaly i dont mind.
Restaurant Tip:
Jensens Bøfhouse 5 min stroll from the hotel, has a decent dinner at a decent price, and is recomended.

Good service&room but mind your belonging

we arrived around 8pm and our cabin luggage was stolen within seconds at the hotel lobby while checking in. the hotel did not cover the loss, but they tried their best to take care of us by taking us to the police station and upgraded our room. it was also not possible to view the security camera records for some reason.
overall it is a good place, minus the stolen bag. so always keep a hand on your valuables if you look away from them. the hotel is right next to the central station but if you arrive by the airport bus make sure you pay attention to the walking direction to the hotel carefully as it was a bit tricky to take the short route through the arlanda express terminal.
breakfast was plentiful and was quite crowded so it would be good to eat early if you enjoy your morning peace.
the room was comfortable with fluffy towels.

- close to town centre (also walking distance)

Basically, I'm satisfied with my stay here. Basic, Scandinavian room and great breakfast. While the location is very convenient next to the central station, there isn't plenty of restaurants around the hotel. If there were more choices nearby, that would be even better.
