In front of the hotel entrance is at the moment a construction site. In addition to this, some waste containers at the neighbouring building do not improve the first impression when approaching the hotel.
There is neither wardrobe nor one single drawer in the room. This might be OK for a very short stay at the hotel, but it does not make you feeling well if you stay for a week or so.
All in all a bit disappointing.

Had a terrific time in your country. You were most accommodating, very friendly too metro just accross road which was ideal. As previously mentioned bedding not large enough for covering body and unfortunately no tea or coffee making facilities. Would definitely come back for another stay.

Amazing choice of meals for breakfast. Brilliant, spoilt for choice

we had a comfortable stay at scandic alvik - everything was ok, breakfast was huge, sauna and gym clean and comfortable. the staff was nice and helpful even when we encountered a problem with debit card and couldn´t pay a lunch they did an exception and offered us a free meal before checking out.
Nightlife Tip:
the hotel is well connected with downtown - only 3 metro stops away

Ideal business hotel for that area. The staff are very efficient. The rooms are comfortable and have all mod cons for a short stay. The breakfast was included in the rate and has wide variety to cater for the majority of people. Hotel is ideally situated opposite Metro stop and in approx 15 mins you are in the centre of Stockholm

Although,the hotel is farther away from the city centre, it is close to the Alvik metro station and there are some shops and a supermarket around. The staff were friendly and helpful (although they cannot provide the adapter for non-EU plugs).

Magnificent hotel

The hotel was perfect, the best we've stayed at. Everything was just perfect. Nice lounge, breakfast was just awesome (too much to choose from, rly), everything was neat and clean, the room was big, there was just nothing that disappointed us. If we come back to Stockholm some day, we'll make reservations again at Alvik, no doubt about that!

Quite good hotel, which situated few minutes go from metro station (approximately 12 minutes to T-Centralen). Just opposite hotel you can find a supermarket. Within this price range - it is without competition

It´s a hotel that try to look like a posh high-class hotel but actually is a basic Scandic Hotel with some trimmings. We found the staff being quite helpful but they operate in a very stiff environment. Coming there on a hot day and finding a fruit basket on the check-in-counter - but the fruits were 5 SEK a piece...

Our stay in Scandic Alvik Hotel in May 2010
We found the location of the hotel very good and it suited our plans completely. Hotel is nice, clean with friendly personnel. Price/quality ratio is fair.

We have arrived before 12 p.m. and were not sure if we can check-in, but the administrator at reception desk was very friendly and there was no problem with check-in. We have our room on the 7th floor and that was in accordnace with our booking request. Room was clean and comfortable. We found even ironing possibilities in the room what was very apropos. There were no problem with ordering a taxi as the taxi stop was near by the hotel and it took about 3-5 min to get a taxi. We have walked around and found a lot of different small restaurants around, incl. sushi-house, pizzeria and grill. Right opposite to the hotel there was a small cake-shop were was possible to buy a good coffee takeaway and some cakes. The general feeling is very good and we definitely stay in this hotel next time and will recommend it to our friends also.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Very close to Solvalla race-track, aprox. 200 SEK by taxi. Lots of small restaurants and shops around. Bus station ant train stop is about 300 m from the hotel.
