Spartan room with good bed in a family hotel

Stayed a weekend to attend a public teaching/conference of the Dalai Lama in Fribourg. All hotels in Fribourg were full, so I settled on staying here. Fribourg is just a 15 min drive, so that was no problem. The hotel is like time traveling back into the 60's or 70's when this hotel was built and in the decades between then and now nothing seems improved or replaced. The public areas need upgrading as they are threadbare. The room was quite spartan, with cheap furniture and fixtures, but very clean and a good bed. I missed a shaver's plug in the bathroom. Overall a nice stay, but better suited for families who want to be close to the big lake there.
