convinient
near to the railway station

The hotel is located just in front of the central railway station and was very convenient for shopping and eating out.
The room was, however, rather small. If you are just on transit to wawait a train next day, then this is a perfect hotel for spending night. the receptionist was also honest.

Adequate hotel but small rooms

City hotel is a hotel that provides the very basics and essentials. The price is a little on the high side but considering the location and being in one of the most expensive city in europe, it's not too bad. It's about 10mins walk (with luggages) from the main train station. Nothing fanciful in the room, no TV, no kettle. There's a fridge that was not working, maybe because it's winter. There's also a mini radio. Not sure if it works. It was hard work carrying the luggages up the staircase that leads to the reception from the entrance. Need some muscle works on that. Spotless white bedsheet but hairs found on the pillow and blanket. Enough to put me off. Floor creaked with almost every step. Adequate for a one night near the train station.

Great service. Love the modern compact rooms. Great breakfast included in price.

This hotel is directly across from the railway station but the signage is not very clear. It doesn't have the full name of the hotel on the sign.
The accommodation was very modern and compact and all that was needed for a single traveller.
My room looked directly out into the city centre and was great.

See the Bear Park.

Great hotel close to train station
So close to train station and was very comfortable

We only stayed overnight in this hotel but it was perfect as it was directly opposite the railway station in Bern so convient as we arrived late at night so it was so easy to find. Staff very friendly and spoke perfect English.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Very central to station and shops and sightseeing.

One of competative hotel near the rail station

I am confirm same as other comments that this hotel is very affordable and very closed to the rail station and tram station. You can walk across from the rail station which is very easy to find.
This hotel are also good for stop-by in the city and can walk to shopping on the 6 KM.shopping street.

The hotel is in a very good location but if you have a room facing the front you will hear lots of noise if you open the window. Ask for a room in the back of the hotel. The rooms feel dated although they were pretty clean. Good choice if you want to be close to city center.

Located directly opposite to the Bern station. The service was good.

The hotel was in a great location across from the main train and bus station. The room was very spacious and clean with a nice big bathroom. Breakfast was buffet style and quite good.
There are a few supermarkets close to the hotel which are handy.
Restaurant Tip:
Be sure to buy one of the waffles from the street vendors as you start your tour in the morning. You cannot buy only one!

This hotel is a good value for money. It is very closed to the city main station and closed to all attractions such as town center, cathedrals, city halls, shopping places. The breakfast is ok. The room size is ok but it is a little bit old. Recomend to anyone coming to Bern to stay here.
