Newly Renovated Rooms! Love it!

The hotel is located near the train station.
The hotel just got renovated. Clean and new rooms, New carpets for the whole hotel, very comfortable. The toilet in the room i had was kind of small buit decent and without a bathtub.
The breakfast spread was decent and nice.
Nearby the hotel there is a supermarket which is an advantage to get daily needs like water etc. Take a short walk and the shopping streets, attraction site and eateries are just nearby.
My overall stay at Ambassador Hotel was good.

Hotel is easy to find and conveniently located. however for the price there must be better options. We were slightly dissapointed especially with the bathroom which was tiny, gloomy and filled with cheap furniture. The rooms and hotel interior overall are rather tasteless. Back to the 80's. Then there are some random things which are minor but nevertheless slightly annoying: no power sockets in the room, tap water quality is poor, reception desk is only manned until 17h (really weird for a hotel?), people smoking in the hallways & lifts. Doesn't really feel like it earns the three stars it seems so proud of.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Close to the mountains. Zermatt and all it has to offer is really close. The locations really gives you a lot of different options.
