A nice hotel, nothing special

It is an ok hotel, your stay will be totally dependent on the view your room has. For the money I paid, which was the most expensive room I had picked in a six week trip through Europe, I expected to have a view. Initially, they gave us a room with a view of the side street. It was a smoking room that absolutely stunk. I insisted on a room change and ended up looking out onto the roof of the centre courtyard. It was our last night in Europe and only for one night, so I could not be bothered arguing, it was not worth the money. The hotel is in a good location, right across the street from the lake and a short walk to the city. But everything in Switzerland is 2 and a half times the price of the most expensive place in the world you can think of, so kind of puts a downer on staying at this hotel. A glass of wine, the cheapest on the menu is CHF11 and it barely covers the bottom of the glass.

the kempinski geneca is exactly what you want a hotel to be. the rooms are as you would expect for the price, perfect. the service is as you would expect for the price, great. the food is as you'd expect for the price, fantastic. nothing bad to say. a top quiality hotel, as you'd expect.

The hotel is definitely aimed at business men. It was clean, rooms were fine and staff helpful. Spa is smart but but massage was weak.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The Boat bus stops just opposite the hotel so useful when going to the business area

The location is great with a view to lake Geneva, nice bar restaurant and excelent service.

we had a great stay at the kempinski. they have a very nice restaurant called "le grill" with nice french style cooking, i would recommend a reservation for it. rooms are very clean and the staff is efficient. on my next travel to geneva i will book a room at this hotel. i think this may be enough to let you know about my opinion about grand hotel kempinski.
