Staff went out of their way to be very helpful
Difficult climb to the top floor when lift was temporarily broken, although staff did all they could to assist.
A very centrally located (but not well signposted)hotel directly opposite the main carpark and adjacent to the railway station. Our room at the back of the hotel on the top floor was very quiet and well appointed with a bar frig and ensuite. Buffet breakfast was very varied and certainly adequate and wait staff were very friendly. When my friend had an allergic reaction to the down duvet and pillow other bedding was delivered and changed on the beds. We chose the hotel because parking was offered and although full when we arrived, the staff ensured I was notified as soon as a parking spot was available. The lift was fixed on our second day as promised. Impressive service from all staff we dealt with, including when my friend forgot to hand in the room key on checkout. I was emailed to ask if we still had the key. I was able to advise that we had already posted it back and I was again emailed when the key arrived to thank us for posting it back to the hotel. Very professional staff.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We did a wonderfully scenic and relaxed day trip (on one inexpensive ticket) from Lauterbrunnen via funicular and train to Murren...walk through Murren to the funicular or walk down the mountain on a tarred pathway to Gimmelwald for a tasty light lunch, then funicular down to Stechelberg. Bus to Trummelbach Falls (11 Sf entry), then same bus back to Lauterbrunnen. Highly recommended!
