close to the train station The resturant is quit small. The hotel is in front of Interlaken West station, that is the best location for us for preparing to go to jungfraujoch in the next moring.
The room is clean and not too small.
The reception is friendly.
However,the hotel resturant is quit small.
We also got the ticket for free transportation in Interlaken including bus and train.

Great location - near station; Superb view; Breakfast included. Small room - what do you expect of a 3 star. Exceeded expectations. We spotted the hotel from the station - just across a small road. From the room as well as from the breakfast area, you can see the wonderful views of interlaken as well as the ice-peak mountains. It is also right in the middle of the town, making it easy to buy dinner, do some shopping, etc. Though there are minimum amenities, the adaptor and hairdryer can easily be borrowered from the reception.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : In the morning, take 2 pieces of bread and go towards the nearby pond (next to the station) and feed the ducks, swans and other birds. The kids enjoyed.

Service is not bad but it should be better than this. Merkur Hotel is very easy to go due to it is close to train station(Interlaken west).The hotel is very clean and clam(not noisy).It is very nice place to stay because it is cheaper than another hotel and value for money.Next time I will stay here.

Very close to railway station.. Reception is quite welcome. Room is fine and clean. Breakfast is Ok. Wireless is available in lobby area Wireless should cover whole area. I'm happy to be here. Quite. Close to train station just 1 minute walk.. A lot of restaurants available nearby the hotel. I will be there again.

- in front of the train station (Interlaken West), shops and supermarkets are within 1-3 minutes. - only 3 TV channels in English (CNN & BBCs)
- lift is in the hotel but stairs ( around 10 steps) to the hotel reception. We selected this hotel as it is close to the train station and shops. I traveled with my mom (77 yr old) with bad knees, even the hotel has a lift but the ten steps to reach the hotel reception was quite difficult for my mom. We got the room facing the mountain view. Wi-fi was free in the reception area for guests with lab-top but charged when using their desktop.

Cleanliness, punctuality and service Furnitures are old, may be improved. We stayed three days in this hotel. It is not a hi-fi hotel, but we are satisfied with their service. It is very close to Interlaken West rail station and sometimes little bit noisy. It has no bar, but their breakfast was great. The hotel receptionist is charming and very helpful.

Good location, just 1 mins walk to Interlaken West - Old decoration;
- The view is so so. The hotel with excellent location and relatively low price within Interlaken area. The breakfast is good while the restaurant located at 5th floor (TOP OF THE BUILDING) and with better view.
It is convenience that you can take the Bus to Interlaken Est station (where you can take the train to Jungfraub) at the bus terminal just opposite to the hotel.
