Alpha-palmiers Hotel, Lausanne

This was the second time that I have stayed at this hotel and i had a wonderful time. I was in the city for a day so it was easy to get off the train and walk up the steep hill to the hotel. Check in is always efficient. I like the size and comfort of the room but the no door bathroom would be a problem if i was staying with someone. They also placed a full mirror just opposite so you would feel very exposed. Even a curtain would be nice for those not in a single. The lobby is great if you are meeting someone. The breakfast in very basic unless you get the upgrade but even then nothing special. The Thai restaurant is wonderful, but the portions are very big. Don't make the mistake of ordering too much. Overall, it was a good experience and I will probably stay there again the nest time i'm in Lausanne! There is also a movie theater across the street hence a great activity when it's raining.

Alpha-Palmiers Hotel is centrally located and very convenient as it is just steps away from the station in the very hilly city Lausanne. It is a clean and modern business man type hotel of uncommon design with most rooms facing some kind of a palm garden in the middle, its waterfall being kind of noisy.

This is a good room for a single person but it may not work well for a family.
