De La Paix Lucerne Hotel Luzern Info
This hotel in a quiet section of the old town is within easy walking range of Lucerne's most beautiful sights. A minute's walk from the water's edge, this small family-run hotel is centrally located and close to the shops, caf's and restaurants of the old town. Rooms have been modernized and sport fresh, comfortable furnishings, double doors and balconies adding an old-fashioned ambience in keeping with the hotel's historic surrounds. Views of the mountains and the town can be had from all rooms (the best ones from higher floors), and all include toiletries and TV while free internet is available on the lobby PC. The train station is an easy ten-minute stroll from the De La Paix and several landmarks of note, the Lion Memorial, the Chapel Bridge, the Hofkirche are all within blocks.

great convenient location
The hotel is centrally located, about ten minutes walk from the railway station. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful and the breakfast wonderful. The room is small but comfy and clean, everything just goes right with the hotel and Luzern is the most beautiful Swiss city I've visited.

Hotel management is very poor. No designated person working at the reception, and very poor customer care.
When I got into the hotel, I had to wait almost ten minutes to see a person at the reception. The hotel manages the hotel and a restaurant at the same time. There was no designated person working at the reception.
I got the reception again to get some hot water, and again had to wait another five minutes. I was in and out of hotel about five times, but have not seen a person at reception not even a single time. Incredibily poor management.
My wife told me that during our stay at the hotel, she never saw a working staff at the hotel.
They also have a weird system that guests have to change a room key with an outside key whenever they get out...
If you are looking for a total privacy, this must be the perfect hotel. However, don't expect any service either.

Great place to stay and easy accessible from Luzern RailCity station [Main]
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Lowen Platz [Lion Monument] hardly few meters away from bus stop but we realize it much later in the DARK :(
