The room is very small but clean. It is not very close to Montreux train station (around 10 mins. walk). If you are carrying heavy luggages, you beteer take bus 201 from the train station to hotel. It is the cheapest hotel in Montreux during our stay. The quality is good with this lowest price.

The room given to me had a very strong odour. We requested for a change but the new room had the same odour (milder though) but the reception said it was full so we had to settle with the smelly room. The fan in the room was somehow not functioning properly - it was spinning crazily as if it was going to fall apart! However, the hotel is near to the lake, about 10 mins walk from the train station, and the price is considered "okay" for a budget stay in Switzerland!

Nice staff...good location near the lake. Rooms nicely decorated. Bathroom a bit small and kept flooding when having shower. The beds were comfortable and the room looked out on to the street which was one back from the lake..so very handy for when we made our walk towards the town...probably about 15 minutes walk...or even less... there were lots of people around for the Montreux Jazz festival so progress along the lake front was a bit slow at times. Overall, I enjoyed my stay in Montreux very much. Probably the highlight of my two week trip in Europe - which included Dublin Kilkenny and Paris!
Travel tip:
Very expensive for only two days given the size of room. But very pleasant all the same.
